Strategic planning for the location of productive enterprises in the areas of industrial development of the port of Altamira, based on the methodology of industrial clusters, including analysis of port operations, industry analysis of the area, identification of sectors subject and plan promotion specific action to attract companies.The study using the methodology of analysis of industrial clusters identified an action plan for attracting businesses to the port of Altamira. The study included an analysis of port operations, analysis of industry in the area of Altamira, SWOT analysis; identification and analysis of industrial chains susceptible promotion at the port, including petrochemical, automotive and auto parts, tire shop, electronics, appliances, textile, machinery and equipment and logistics companies.
The preparation of the action plan to attract companies included programs for strengthening economic infrastructure and support services; strengthening human and technological resources; the consolidation of the petrochemical industrial clusters and Llantero sector; creation of industrial clusters of sectors: automotive and auto parts, home appliances and textiles.
