FOA Consulting analyzed comparative projects in Mexico and the world for new cities, where all concepts are linked to economic development, innovation and technology with a focus on specialization.

• Benchmarking comparative of projects: to the characteristics of projects, aspects of development, promotion and organization and market aspects and marketing were analyzed.
• Analysis of components and cutting edge facilities for health projects.
• Annexes showing fact sheet of selected cities of knowledge and technology parks, and fact sheets of cutting-edge health facilities

Development concept

A proposal based on the strengths and opportunities in the medical and academic-pharmaceutical cluster in southern Mexico City was developed, in order to produce the business plan of the Health Knowledge City Project. The opportunities for research and development for the project were also considered. The sub-themes that were analyzed are:

• Health Cluster (current situation).

• Strategies for potential development.

• "Fast Track" strategy proposal.

• Medical-Architectural Program.

• Market Research Program.

Risk analysis

The main risks associated with project development process of Biometropolis were identified; a set of actions intended to mitigate and / or eliminate risks were proposed. We analyzed the following risks:

• Wide Environment Risk.

• Political Risk.

• Risks of the immediate environment.

• Risk in Project Preparation.

• Implementation Risk.

• Operation Risk.

• Immediate mitigation actions.

Conclusions

The final report of the Market study included the following topics:

• Support and incentives for the development of the project.
