They were analyzed and evaluated different privatization schemes for ports mentioned located in the Gulf and the Pacific of Mexico. Considered in each case the current situation of the ports, desirable target images for each of them, and the potential for privatization. The scan options included: the concession of the ports in its entirety and terminal / port facility. Financial valuations were conducted ports and component packages privatization, tariff issues and sensitivity analysis of critical parameters.
The studies included: delineation of port areas, port profile, analysis of the infrastructure, superstructure and port equipment, operation, market indexes port efficiency, port finance and environmental aspects.
A business plan for each of the ports are prepared, reviewing privatization schemes, financial evaluation of business considering overall level API and business components, packages privatization rates and sensitivity analyzes the factors that determine the value port. The issue of institutional, organizational, operational and financial restructuring of the port and the recommended privatization strategy and the corresponding steps are studied.
