Development Master Plan of Multimodal Corridor in Mexico
Development Master Plan for Developing Multimodal Corridors of Mexico (PMCM) which included extensive analysis of the existing transport infrastructure and services in the core and longitudinal runners of the country and the proposed improvement. The PMCM is a tool of strategy and policy of the Federal Government for the development of multimodal corridors and the establishment of an efficient transport system based on the multimodal operation.The development of PMCM included: establishing objectives PMCM and development planning tool; analysis of national freight flows; System Profile of Mexico transport and logistics; identification of priority corridors; needs analysis priority corridors; design of performance measures; Impact analysis.
The preparation of the Plan based on the premise that decisions isolated improvement are insufficient and that a set of coordinated actions in the public and private sectors to improve the performance of the multimodal transport system of Mexico is required. The tool is developed PMCM Mexican government to plan and promote with the stakeholders of the transport chains, infrastructure development, systems, coordination arrangements and overall logistical elements to meet the needs of domestic trade and transport international with trading partners in North America and around the world.
