Cost-benefit analysis New Port of Mazatlan
Cost-Benefit Analysis with the Guidelines of the Investment Unit of the Ministry of Finance was developed for New Port of Mazatlan Sinaloa.There are plans to port infrastructure provide greater capacity and better technical specifications to the Port of Mazatlan to allow moving cargo efficiently northern Mexico with origin-destination Pacific ports, to fully exploit the potential that trade has the new highway Durango - Mazatlan, the study makes the cost-benefit analysis of this project with the Guidelines of the Investment Unit of the Ministry of Finance; the new port project involves the construction of new port facilities in a reserve area located at the estuary of Uriah, two terminals will be built, a company specializing in container and other multipurpose with higher spaces handling and storage of goods, including infrastructure development trucking and rail, to avoid transit cargo from / to the port in the urban layout of the city of Mazatlan. The project also includes the construction of additional dredging, a new ferry terminal, changing customs facilities, transportation facilities PEMEX and a new fishing shelter. Project costs are considered investments for the construction and equipment of the new port of Mazatlan, for container terminals and multipurpose, custom, dredging, land transport infrastructure and fishing shelter. The benefits identified are: savings in vehicle operating costs freight traffic diverted to other ports for savings in time and distance and time savings of moving goods by using shorter routes with good specs.
