Integral Study for Modernization of the Port of Puerto Vallarta
The project involved the development of a proposal for the development of facilities for the care of cruises and nautical tourism in Puerto Vallarta, cost determination for parametric development, financial evaluation and determination of the form of public-private participation in the project.The project involved the conceptual design of a new Cruise Terminal in Puerto Vallarta, allowing increasing demand. The study was divided into three phases: Phase I: Identification of project proposals; Phase II: Analysis of proposals: technical, financial, private, legal and environmental sector feasibility; PHASE III: Recommendation of the alternative design and share best.
The proposed concept would help to increase the competitiveness of the port of API Vallarta to attract and increase the number of arrivals and flow of visitors on cruise ships and associated services to local water demand through a diversified, attractive and representative range of different attractions the region. The general concept was presented with the FCCA and shipping lines, who validated general concept.
The nautical tourist complex will be developed in an area of the port up to 41,826 ha, including land and water areas, through the participation of private capital.
